Prayer of Salvation

-

This is a Prayer for anyone who has decided to make Jesus Christ their Saviour and wants to accept the gift of Salvation. 

 

Lord Jesus,

I accept you as my Saviour

You died on the cross for me

You shed your blood for me

Thank you Jesus for deciding that I was worth saving

Holy Spirit come and dwell in me now and forever

Guide me on the path of Righteousness

Help me that I will not go astray

And purify me from all of my sins

Thank you Lord for loving me 

In Jesus name I pray

Amen!

 

 

Salvation is a gift that has been made available to us through the crucifixion of Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary (Matthew 27-28). His blood was shed in the place of ours, he was the sacrificial lamb that was slain so we could all have everlasting life If you have just prayed this prayer, Congratulations you have now entered the body of Christ. You have been made a new creature (2 Corinthians 5:17) and you have inherited the Kingdom! (Matthew 25:34)

"Now I do what I want"

By Oseyi Omokhoa When I was a brand new believer, one of my favourite verses was Psalm 20:4, “May he grant your heart’s desires and make all your plans succeed”. I thought this meant that now that I have Jesus on my side, all of my wishes would become a reality. Obviously I was watching too much Disney. Then I came across Proverbs 16:3, “Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed”. I thought, okay, calm. I just have all of my trust in God and I will get what I want. Not quite there yet. Recently, God revealed Proverbs 16:19, “We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps” which means that I can plan out my life all the way from birth to death, I can cry out in prayer until my tongue twists but if it is not God’s plan for my life then I am just wasting my breath. A role that consists of shedding light and sharing our light with the masses. Correcting assumptions about Christians, teaching the Word of God, correcting misinterpretations of the Word and covering topical issues from the view of a Christian.
